Asus unveiled the first 144 Hz monitor <a href=http://www.flatpanelshd.com/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1343285045><b>some time ago</b></a> and here comes its smaller sibling. The new 24-inch VG248QE is the second 144 Hz monitor.<br /><br /><h3> Asus 144 Hz VG248QE</h3>Gamers have preferred 120 Hz monitors for years so Asus hopes to take it one step further with 144 Hz monitors. The 27-inch version was unveiled in July and here comes the smaller 24-inch.<br /><br /><p align=center><a id="thumb" href="pictures/asusvg248qe-1l.jpg" class="highslide" rel="highslide"><img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/asusvg248qe-1.jpg" alt="Asus VG248QE" title="Click to enlarge" /></a><br><i>Asus VG248QE is a new 24-inch 144 Hz monitor</i></p><br />VG248QE uses a TN panel with Full HD (1920x1080) resolution and an active 3D system compatible with Nvidia’s 3D Vision 2. Asus also promises a response time of 1 ms (g2g).<br /><br /><p align=center><a id="thumb" href="pictures/asusvg248qe-2l.jpg" class="highslide" rel="highslide"><img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/asusvg248qe-2.jpg" alt="Asus VG248QE" title="Click to enlarge" /></a><br><i>Asus VG248QE is a new 24-inch 144 Hz monitor</i></p><br />Input connectivity includes DVI, DisplayPort and HDMI. HDMI does not support 144 Hz but enables users to connect a game console or a Blu-ray player. Asus also offers tilt, height, and swivel adjustments as well as 2W stereo speakers.<br /><br />Asus VG248QE will be available soon. The official price has not been announced yet.
