We just told you that Dell has a new 24” U2413 coming and we can now tell you that Dell also has a 27” U2713H coming. Not to be confused with U2713HM, the new U2713H is a high-end version for photographers and graphic artists.
Update: Dell U2713H is now available in stores. See US pricing details here and Europe pricing details here.
27” Dell U2713H
The current Dell U2713HM will stay in the line-up but the new U2713H offers a step-up alternative for the more discerning users. The extra spice includes a new AH-IPS panel with 10-bit color support and a 14-bit internal color processor that should provide very decent colors.
The new 27-inch Dell U2713H
Dell U2713H has a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels and supports 99 % of the AdobeRGB gamut as well as the sRGB gamut. Both gamuts have been factory calibrated but if you require even more accurate colors you can buy the optional X-rite i1 Display Pro calibrator unit.
The new 27-inch Dell U2713H
U2713H is clearly aimed at photographers and graphic artists that require the extra precision. The design is largely unchanged and the monitor also height, swivel, tilt and pivot adjustments. DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, mini-DisplayPort and 4 USB ports are also available.
All in all, it looks very much like a larger version of the just-announced U2413. Both monitors seem to be step-up models of the current Dell IPS monitors that stay available at lower price points.
