Sony exhibits 56-inch 4K OLED-TV

We heard whispers last week and today Sony has in surprising move unveiled a 56-inch OLED-TV with 4K resolution. It is a prototype for now.

Sure, Samsung and LG exhibited the first large-size OLED-TV last year but none of those are available on the market yet so Sony’s new prototype is more than impressive.

At CES, Sony has just shown off a 56-inch OLED-TV with true 4K – or Ultra HD – resolution. That is impressive given that the current OLED-TVs from Samsung and LG are only Full HD models.

has started researching OLED technology again after a few years of no activity. Sony was actually the first TV manufacturer to exhibit an OLED-TV with the 11-inch model.
