Asus brings some competition for Dell and Eizo. The new 24-inch PA249Q Pro Art monitor was officially launched at CES and comes with a pre-calibrated IPS panel and 1920x1200 pixel resolution.<br /><br /><h3>Asus PA249Q with IPS panel</h3>Asus has been in the monitor-game for some time and continues to move forward. With the latest PA249Q, Asus hopes to challenge Dell, Eizo and NEC in the IPS segment.<br /><br /><p align=center><a id="thumb" href="pictures/asuspa249q-1l.jpg" class="highslide" rel="highslide"><img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/asuspa249q-1.jpg" alt="Asus PA249Q" title="Click to enlarge" /></a><br><i> Asus PA249Q comes pre-calibrated</i></p><br />PA249Q uses an IPS panel with 16:10 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels. The IPS panel has been pre-calibrated from the factory to ensure color accuracy. It supports the sRGB color gamut but also has an AdobeRGB color profile.<br /><br />PA249Q also has four USB 3.0 ports.<br /><br />Asus says that the new monitor will be available from March 2013 but has not announced pricing.
