Samsung and LG have agreed to resolve its OLED patent disputes outside court in South Korea. The two giants will also put an end to the LCD patent disputes.

The conflict between the two manufacturers have been… colorful. Accusations and lawsuits have been flying around, and most recently LG tried to block sales of Samsung’s popular Galaxy products in South Korea.

The dispute will soon come to an end. Samsung and LG have agreed to resolve the disagreements about OLED patents and OLED technology outside court, after a request to do so by the court. The two parties will also resolve its current LCD patent disputes, they say.

We will probably never know the details of the deal but we do hope that the two manufacturers can move on and speed up OLED-TV development and manufacturing after this.
