Logitech has announced two new universal remotes ahead of its remote division sale. The Ultimate remote is said to be Logitech’s most capable remote to date and the new Smart Control remote integrates with your smartphone.

The Logitech Ultimate is a more advanced version of the Logitech Touch that we recently reviewed. Ultimate lets you control up to 15 devices with a few physical buttons and a 2.4” touchscreen.

Logitech has expanded support beyond consumer electronics devices, such as TVs, Blu-ray players, media boxes and game consoles, and lets you control the new Philips Hue light bulbs.

The new Harmony Smart Control is a physical remote but also lets you control all your devices from your iOS or Android smartphone via an app. The app lets you customize some settings and include icons for your favorite channels. It also has swipe gesture support for volume and channel selection.



Logitech Harmony Ultimate will be available in Europe in May and USA in April for $350 and the Harmony Smart Control will be available in Europe and USA in May for $130.
