LG has three new HDD recorders with built-in Blu-ray coming out these weeks. The players also offer access to LG’s Smart TV features. They are starting to appear throughout Europe now.

LG HR939, HR935 & HR933

LG's three new HDD recorders are identical in every aspect, besides the hard drive capacity of 320GB, 500GB and 1TB, respectively.

All three come with a built-in Blu-ray drive that supports both 2D and 3D – and naturally also DVDs and CDs. You can connect a USB key or USB hard drive to playback media files and you can also transfer media files from the external device onto the integrated hard drive in LG’s players.

In most regions, LG has decided to integrate a twin tuner for DVB-T and DVB-C connections. The twin tuner enables you to record TV shows, pause live TV broadcasts and rewind to the point where you switched to the TV channel. You can obviously also schedule future recordings through the EPG.

All three players come with LG’s Smart TV platform built in, including access to TV apps and LG’s “premium apps” such as Netflix, Facebook and other services. WiFi and DLNA is integrated. Additionally, LG says that you can control the players via an app for your iOS and Android smartphone/tablet.

All the typical audio formats are supported, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD MA.

The three now HR933, HR935 and HR939 HDD recorders from LG will become available in select European markets over the coming weeks. They are already available to buy in for example UK. For prices click here:
