Sony, Samsung and LG all have high-end Ultra HD TVs available to buy and Sony recently introduced smaller 65 and 55” 4K TVs. All of those are relatively expensive but the third-tier TV maker shows that it does not have to be so.

Seiki’s first Ultra HD TV was a 50” model that is currently retailing for $1080 USD. Seiki is now expanding its line-up with a new 39” model that sells for just $699 USD. Seiki also has plans to release a lager 65” model by fall 2013.

The 39” utilizes a real Ultra HD panel with 3840x2160 pixels. It accepts 4K signals in up to 30 Hz, just like all other Ultra HD TVs today. The TV has built-in analog and digital TV tuners as well as a USB port. It has a simple, black design with a thin frame and a speaker bar at the bottom. Seiki hopes to appeal to both TV lovers and PC users looking for a 4K monitor.

The 39” Seiki SE39UY04 is available in USA now through Amazon for $699 USD.
