Bang & Olufsen launched the BeoVision 12 in January 2012 and now, after a year and a half, a new version is coming, according to a rumor. Together with the new BeoVision 12, B&O is also expected to launch the BeoSystem 4. The new BV12 will be significantly cheaper.
New BeoVision 12 & BeoSystem 4 coming soon
BeoVision 12 is not one of Bang & Olufsen’s classics but a rather recent addition to the Danish company’s line-up. The first generation was launched as a 65-inch plasma TV.
The current BeoVision 12-65. The new model is expected to look identical
All indications are that the new generation of the TV will use a similar 65” plasma panel. Internally it is called BeoVision 12 NG (New Generation) and we hear that the TV can be wall mounted but that a motorized floor stand will be available, too. BV12 has a powerful speaker system below the panel and the TV is also said to use B&O’s new video engine currently used in the BeoVision 11.
The new BeoVision 12 also marks the introduction of BeoSystem 4 that replaces BeoSystem 3. BeoSystem 4 has been a long time coming, but will arrive as a powerful central home server for video and audio.
According to the rumor the new B&O BeoVision 12 will be unveiled on August 14th, 2013. Including the BeoSystem 4 it will set you back 13,995 Euro - or 15,495 Euro if you want the motorized floor stand. The BeoSystem 4 will also be sold separately.
