Panasonic’s first Ultra HD TVs will launch this September, according to sources. A report from Digitimes also claims that Panasonic aims to launch 50, 58 and 65” Ultra HD TVs, possibly with wide color gamut.<br /><br /><h3>Panasonic’s first Ultra HD TVs coming next month</h3>Rumors about Panasonic’s <a href=http://www.flatpanelshd.com/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1373458164><b>first Ultra HD TVs</b></a> launching at <a href=ifa2013.php><b>IFA 2013</b></a> next week have persisted for some time. Panasonic’s first Ultra HD TVs will be available in three sizes, if we are to believe sometimes-accurate Digitimes.<br /><br /><p align=center><a id="thumb" href="pictures/panasonic4koled-3l.jpg" class="highslide" rel="highslide"><img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/panasonic4koled-3.jpg" alt="Panasonics 4K OLED-TV" title="Click to enlarge" /></a><br><i>Panasonic exhibited its first 4K TV at CES with this 4K OLED TVs, but Panasonic’s first 4K TVs for sale will be LCD based</i></p><br />According to “industry sources” LCD panel manufacturer Innolux will supply Panasonic and Toshiba with 50, 58 and 65-inch Ultra HD LCD panels, starting this quarter. The panels could possibly support a color space as high as NTSC 100 %, which is significantly wider than Rec.709 used in HD content today, but not fully compliant with the color space in Rec.2020 that has been proposed for the <a href=http://www.flatpanelshd.com/focus.php?subaction=showfull&id=1366264710><b>Ultra HD standard</b></a>.<br /><br />The report says that Panasonic’s first Ultra HD TVs could launch this September.
