Profiles Android
Netflix for Android now supports Profiles

16 Dec 2013 | Rasmus Larsen |

User Profiles on Netflix was launched in August, but has been strangely absent in the Android app - but finally, here it is. The latest update from Netflix introduces support for Profiles and improved search.

Profiles and improved search

Netflix Profiles lets each member of a family use their own dedicated profile with personalized watch-later lists and recommendations. The profile feature has been rolled out across TV, media streamers, smartphones, and tablets in recent months, and the latest Android update adds support for the convenient feature.

Android obviously powers smartphones and tablets, but is also evolving into a platform for media streamer boxes and so-named Android sticks that can add smart feature to a “dumb” TV. The Profiles feature is a welcomed addition to an increasingly widespread Android platform.

The Netflix app update also adds enhanced search. The search feature has become faster and also lets you search for actors and directors, and related titles.
