Sony has unveiled three new 4K TV ranges for 2014. Sony’s new 4K TVs will range from 49 to 85 inch sizes. The X900B range comes with Sony’s signature side-mounted speakers, whereas the two others have slim designs.

Sony’s three new 4K TV ranges offer will replace the current models. The first new 4K range is the X850B, which will be available in 49, 55, 65, and 70 inch sizes. All of them come with 4K LCD panels, Triluminos color technology, and “the latest HDMI”, which most likely means HDMI 2.0.

The X900B is the successor to Sony’s X9 range, and looks almost identical. It will be available in 55 and 65 inch sizes, but also a much larger 79 inch version. The powerful side-mounted speakers deliver much more punch than your average TV, and Sony also touts a “X-tended Dynamic Range for up to 2x brightness range”.

Lastly, Sony will release the exclusive X950B range in 65 and 85 inch sizes. It has all the features of the other ranges, but the X-tended system is now a Pro type that can deliver up to “3x brightness range”. It also comes with Motionflow XR960.

Just like Samsung and LG, Sony has announced that their new 4K TVs will support 4K streaming, and they have teamed up with Netflix, ESPN, YouTube, and 500px. Netflix’s 4K streaming will launch in the first half of 2014, but the other providers remain mum on a date.

All of Sony’s 2014 4K TVs are “coming in 2014“.
