Eizo unveils FS2434 IPS gaming monitor

Eizo recently launched the FG2421, which was a breakthrough in gaming monitors. The new 24-inch F2434 is also a gaming monitor with extremely low input lag, but lower-priced alternative with a 60 Hz IPS panel.

Eizo unveils another gaming monitor

Almost every gaming monitor today is based on inferior TN panels, which sacrifice picture quality for speed. Eizo does not want to compromise, they say, so they use better VA and IPS panels optimized for gaming.

Eizo FS2434

The 23.4-inch FS2434 uses the latter; an IPS panel with Full HD resolution. The monitor has been specifically optimized for gaming without sacrificing picture quality. It boasts a 4.9ms (g2g) response time.

However, it is not a 120 Hz IPS panel, but instead a 60 Hz panel. On the other hand Eizo says that it has only 0.05 frames of input lag. The LED backlight is also flicker-free, which should be a major improvement for gamers sitting in front of the PC for many hours straight.

Eizo FS2434

FS2434 features a new design from Eizo with extremely slim bezels (2+4 mm on each side) that allow you to place monitors side-by-side for more immersive gaming experiences. The stand also offers height, tilt and swivel adjustment. It can be connected to a PC via 2xHDMI or DVI, and features to USB 3.0 ports and 0.5W speakers, too. It also comes with a small remote.

Eizo FS2434 will be available in Asia later this month and expand to other regions shortly after. No pricing details have been announced.
