Netflix 4K on Panasonic AX800

Panasonic AX800 was launched without support for Netflix 4K, even though it supported HEVC. But Panasonic has found a solution and today the update is rolling out to owners of AX800 today across Europe, according to Panasonic.

At the moment, Netflix offers a limited selection of 4K, including House of Cards season 2, all seasons of Breaking Bad, and some nature documentaries. Netflix’s new TV series called Marco Polo – that will be released in December – will also be available in 4K. Netflix says that all their future originals will be shot and released in 4K, too.

The update is free and available through the menu.

The high-end AX900 will come with support for Netflix 4K out of the box, says Panasonic.
