Sharp’s 2015 TV line-up was announced at CES 2015, and UB30is the most affordable of the bunch. It will not offer the new Android TV platform, but instead Sharp’s own SmartCentral that now supports HEVC & VP9 decoding for streaming of 4K content from Netflix and YouTube. There is no support for Amazon Instant Video yet.
The Ultra HD TVs also support HDMI 2.0, meaning that you can connect future 4K players. It has a slim design with a thin bezel and is based on edge LED. Sharp says that the 65-inch model that is coming next month will offer local dimming. None of the TVs support 3D. You will have to buy one of the step-up models to get 3D.
