The TVs were unveiled earlier this year and have been rolling out across Europe over the last few weeks. The three curved TV series are called CR850, CR730 and CR430. Panasonic CR850 is a flagship TV with HDR.
Three curved Ultra HD TVs
Panasonic is not as eager to sell you a curved TV as Samsung is but the Japanese manufacturer still has three TV models ranging from entry-level to high-end; all with Ultra HD. The TVs are part of the 2015 line-up and are available in Europe but not the US.
CR850 is a new flagship LCD model with many of the same picture technologies as the flat CX8. The LCD panel has “Local Dimming Pro”, a system designed to improve black levels. It also supports HDR (high dynamic range). It offers the new Firefox operating system and a twin tuner for recording.
CR730 is a step down and a more basic Ultra HD TV. It offers no support for HDR but it still comes packed with Firefox OS and access to streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube and Blockbuster.
Lastly, there is the CR430. This is an Ultra HD without all the bells and whistles. There is no Firefox OS so you will need a 4K media player to enjoy 4K content. We have a full overview of Panasonic's 2015 TV line-up here.
