Amazon Video launches on Roku in the UK

Amazon Video has been available on Roku’s boxes in the US for years but not in the UK. That changes today as Amazon Video finally launches on Roku’s boxes in the UK.

With the new app you can rent or buy from a catalog of 50,000 movie and TV shows, including Hollywood blockbusters and popular TV series.

Amazon Prime subscribers will also have access to a library of 15,000 movies and TV series, including Amazon’s original movies and TV series such as Transparent and Red Oaks. The app will integrate with Roku Search and Roku Feed, says Roku.

If you own a Roku box and live in the UK you can download the app now. Roku already offers access to Netflix, Google Play Movies, Now TV, BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, All 4 and other services.
