It is exactly this kind of service that a TV market built on a foundation of apps and streaming can enable. You don’t need permission from the cable TV gatekeepers of the world. With the press of a button, Love Nature has launched in 32 countries.

Love Nature has a large catalog of nature and wildlife documentaries and series as well as programming following environmental issues around the globe. New content is added weekly from over 40 locations around the world, including Asia, Africa, Australia, Middle East and South America. The team produces over 200 hours of 4K content annually.

- “Nothing looks more spectacular in 4K than natural history content and our new Love Nature video streaming service will allow us to meet the growing demand for high quality entertainment in this genre.” said Jo Parkinson, Managing Director at Love Nature.

You can enjoy the content in 4K quality on Android TVs from Sony and Philips, Nvidia Shield, Amazon 4K Fire TV, Roku 4 and Roku 4K TVs. You can also enjoy it in HD quality on Apple TV, other Android TV based devices, Roku boxes, the first Amazon Fire TV and PC/Mac. The service will soon be available on Chromecast, iOS, Android, Fire tablets, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Samsung Smart TV is also featured on the website but it is not clear if it receives a 4K or HD stream.

The streaming service is now available in 32 countries, including the UK, Australia, Germany, Mexico, and many other parts of Europe. It is not yet available in the US but the website states that it will be “available soon”.

There is a free 30-day trial. After that you pay Ł3.99 / €4.99 per month. A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to charity.
