FlatpanelsHD has received Sony XD85, which is the successor to last year’s X85C. It is available in 55 to 85-inch sizes with 4K resolution and Android TV. If there is anything you want us to examine during the review post a comment.

Sony XD85 received

XD85 is a mid-range TV, which starts at $1500 dollars in 55”. For that amount you can a sleek TV with 4K resolution, Sony's "4K Processor X1" picture engine and Android TV (version 5.1 - 6.0 later). Sony also advertises a limited form of HDR, which means that it can process HDR material but does not have the hardware to reproduce HDR.

Sony XD85 is available in 55, 65, 75, and soon 85” sizes. In Europe it will be available in three design variants name XD8505, XD8577 and XD8599 as well as a curved version called SD85.
