15 Aug 2016 | Rasmus Larsen |

The EISA Awards 2016-2017 have been announced ahead of IFA 2016 in Berlin. LG’s OLED wins best high-end TV and LG also receives the award for best Smart TV. Panasonic wins “Home Theatre TV” and Philips takes home “Best Buy TV”. There are no TV Awards for Sony.

EISA Awards 2016-2017

As always, EISA has introduced a few new categories. This year, four of the major TV manufacturers receive praise but Sony is out in the cold. LG’s OLED wins the “High-end TV” category and, like last year, also wins for best Smart TV.

Panasonic DX900 wins ”Home Theatre TV” and Samusng’s curved edge-lit KS9000 wins in a newly-created category named ”European TV”. Philips’ upcoming 7601 gets the award for ”Best Buy TV”. The award for best UHD player was awarded to Panasonic UB900.
