Amazon Video app now available on PS4, PS3 throughout Europe

Amazon has expanded availability of its video streaming app to all European countries. You can now watch shows such as The Grand Tour and The Man in the High Castle on your PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 3.

Amazon on your PlayStation

The Amazon Video app was previously available in select territories such as the US, the UK, Germany, and Austria. It is now available in all European countries, the two companies have announced. This move follows Amazon’s global launch of its Prime Video streaming service in late 2016.

In the app you can enjoy Amazon Originals such as The Tick, The Grand Tour, The Man in the High Castle, Transparent, Mozart in the Jungle, American Gods, and Goliath.

TV & Video on PlayStation 4

Besides being a game console, Sony has managed to attract major streaming services to the PlayStation platform. The company recently introduced a ‘TV & Video’ section as a one-stop for all your video streaming services.

The Amazon Video app is available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro. It does not appear to support 4K HDR streaming on the latter but 5.1 surround is available.
