Samsung's NW700 is an all-in-one soundbar

Samsung had also unveiled the NW700 soundbar, which is the successor to last year’s MS650. It is an all-in one design that incorporates a subwoofer into the bar.

Samsung explains that it has aims to create an elegant sound solution that can hang on the wall to complement the look of a flat TV.

It measures 53.5 mm in width, which is 41% narrower than previous year’s model, the company said. It has three speaker channels and a subwoofer built-in.

The company added that it has features “such as distortion-cancelling, wide-range tweeters and multi-speaker control, all technologies developed at the Samsung Audio Lab in Valencia, California”.

Besides Samsung, Sony and LG have at CES unveiled new top-of-the-line soundbars. The two competing companies have implemented Dolby Atmos. Samsung debuted its first Atmos-capable soundbar in 2016 but has not followed up with new products since.

Samsung’s 2018 soundbars was showcased at CES 2018 as part of a new strategy to fuse lifestyle and technology across its product lines.
