26 Jan 2018 | Rasmus Larsen |

Philips will roll out Google Assistant on its new Android TVs in Europe. At an event in Amsterdam, the company demonstrated how the voice-enabled assistant can interact with Philips Hue lighting, soundbars, Google Home, music, YouTube, and more.

Coming later in 2018

Google Assistant is expected to roll out to 2018 Philips Android TVs this year. The company will also bring it to select 2017 models but the specifics were not communicated. At launch, it will speak English, with French, Deutsch, Italian, and Dutch expected to arrive later in 2018.

We have more to report on Philips’ 2018 TV line-up so stay tuned. In the meantime you can watch the video to see how Google Assistant will work.
