Plex now available on Panasonic TVs

The Plex app is now available from the app market on Panasonic TVs from 2014 or later, including those with Firefox OS – now MyHomeScreen 2.0 or 3.0.

The Plex app offers access to locally stored media files, recorded video, and more. To get started you need to also set up a Plex server to share your files.

Plex was already available on Android TV and Roku TV as well as TV models from LG, Samsung, Sony, and Vizio. The company has now expanded availability to Panasonic TVs.

- “Plex is now available on Panasonic Smart TVs! Watch your favorite Plex content on all Panasonic models 2014 and later. Get the app from the Panasonic Smart Viera app store today,” the company announced.

Plex is a media streaming solution that competes with apps such as Kodi and Infuse. Besides playback of local media, the company is focusing on bringing news, live TV, and DVR features to the Plex experience.

The app can be downloaded from the app market on Panasonic’s TVs.
