Hulu expands 4K support to Xbox One, FireTV & LG webOS

15 Oct 2019 | Rasmus Larsen |

After reintroducing 4K streaming support this summer, Hulu is expanding support to Xbox One. 4K streaming will be available on FireTV and webOS later this week.

Hulu 4K streaming

Hulu launched 4K streaming support in 2016, quietly removed it in early 2018, and brought it back in July 2019. At relaunch, it was supported only on Apple TV 4K and Chromecast Ultra. Hulu has now expanded 4K support to Xbox One. In addition, the company confirmed that 4K support for Amazon FireTV and LG webOS is coming later this week and that more devices will be added to the list in the future.

Hulu Originals

The 4K library is limited to Hulu Originals such as The Handmaid’s Tale, Catch-22, The First, The Path, and Castle Rock. Hulu does not offer content in HDR (High Dynamic Range). - Source: Hulu
