Google has yet to formally announce the new feature but according to reports it is rolling out gradually to all Android TV devices via a software update (version 1.47.207274) to the pre-installed 'Chromecast built-in' app in Android TV devices. If you are still stuck on an earlier version of the app you can join the Chromecast beta program to ensure that you receive the latest update immediately.
Google previously added speaker group support to Chromecast devices. The feature was originally reserved for the now-discontinued Chromecast Audio.
The company is also rumored to be launching an Android TV-based Chromecast soon.
