In 2020 and 2021, we can expect Indiana Jones, 300, Dawn of the Dead, V for Vendetta, Hitchcock Collection, and Lord of the Rings on UHD Blu-ray. That is according to reports by The Digital Bits.
Film classics in 4K HDR
Besides Back to the Future, Jaws, Full Metal Jacket, Dune, The Elephant Man and Basic Instinct that we covered in an article in February 2020, we can apparently look forward to additional film classics in 4K HDR later this year and in 2021.
The big news here is The Indiana Jones Collection with all four movies. The release will most likely act a prelude to Indiana Jones 5. Some claim to know that the boxset will be released in June 2021 but Paramount has yet to confirm.
Warner Bros is planning to release 300 and V for Vendetta on UHD Blu-ray around September-November this year. On the other hand the studio has reportedly delayed the 4K HDR release of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit to 2021.
Universal is currently restoring film classics from Alfred Hitchcock for release this fall. This includes Psycho, Vertigo, The Birds, and Rear Window.
Retail listing confirm that Sony Pictures will release District 9 and Whiplash later this year. The studio is also rumored to be working on The Guns of Navarone for release in 4K HDR sometime in 2021.
James Cameron movies?
Other noteworthy titles planned for re-release in 4K HDR are Dawn of the Dead (1978), Requiem for a Dream, and The Chronicles of Riddick. All three are expected to launch later this year.

Rumors say that James Cameron's The Abyss and True Lies are planned for release on UHD Blu-ray but neither the studio nor Cameron have confirmed details. Cameron previously said that Avatar and Titanic will be re-released in HDR.
We expect most, if not all, of these titles to be available on both UHD Blu-ray and online through storefronts such as iTunes and Vudu.
