It is almost IFA time and EISA has announced its awards for 2020-2021. Philips and LG have both been awarded two TV awards.
EISA Awards 2020-2021
As per tradition EISA has removed some categories and introduced new ones. 'Best Smart Home TV' is gone, replaced by a new 'Large Screen TV' category.
Brands must participate - and pay - to be taken into consideration, we hear from industry members. Still, naming LG's 75NANO99, which is a contrast-poor IPS LCD TV, the best 8K TV ahead of Samsung's 8K TVs may be viewed as a controversial choice.

Philips and LG have both been awarded two TV awards, with Philips taking home 'Best Home Theatre TV' with 65OLED935, which is a yet-to-be-announced model with B&W speakers. 65OLED935 will most likely be formally unveiled at IFA 2020 early next month.
The 'Best Home Theatre Media Player' award goes to the Zappiti Pro 4K HDR box, which is... questionable considering competing solutions like Apple TV 4K and Nvidia Shield. Apple is not a member of EISA - we are not sure if Nvidia is.
EISA's full list of audio/video awards is included below. The IFA 2020 show has been cancelled in its usual form but there are still lots of new products to look forward to in late August / early September.
