LG and Amazon have partnered to bring the Amazon Music app to 2016-2020 LG TVs with webOS in the Americas, Europa, and Asia.
Amazon Music on your TV
Samsung TVs have Apple Music and now LG TVs have Amazon Music. With the new Amazon Music app you can listen to over 60 million songs.
- "With Amazon Music, Prime members have access to two million hand-curated songs and over one thousand playlists and stations at no additional cost to their membership. Subscribers to Amazon Music Unlimited, the service’s premium subscription tier, have access to more than 60 million songs and thousands of playlists and stations," said LG.
However, owners of LG TVs from 2014 and 2015 with webOS version 1 or 2 are again left out in the cold. This is the just the latest example after Apple TV+ and Disney+; apps that are also reserved for webOS 3.0 or later, meaning 2016 LG TVs or later. LG is not providing major updates to webOS after the sale.
