The Apple TV app (with Apple TV+ and iTunes movies) will launch on Chromecast with Google TV early next year. It is also coming to Android TV devices in the future.
Apple TV on Google TV
Not long after welcoming Apple Music to its smart speakers, Google has announced that it has reached a deal with its competitor to bring the Apple TV app to its streaming devices.
- "With the addition of the Apple TV app, Chromecast with Google TV users can access Apple TV+ (you’ll need a paid subscription). This makes the Chromecast with Google TV one of the only streaming devices with all the major video subscriptions," said Jonathan Zepp
Head of Media & Entertainment, Android and Google Play.

The Apple TV app provides access to TV+ titles like Ted Lasso, The Morning Show and Greyhound. You will also be able to access your iTunes movies and the 'channels' that you subscribe to through the app. Google added that Apple's content will show up "in your personalized recommendations and search results".
