After the discontinuation of Netflix on the original Nintendo Wii, the app will also be removed from Nintendo Wii U and 3DS, meaning that Netflix will soon no longer be available on any Nintendo console.
Not even Switch
As of 2021, the Netflix app is no longer available to download from Nintendo's eShop on the Wii U and 3DS family systems. If you have the Netflix app installed already, it will continue to work until June 30, 2021.
- "The Netflix app was removed from Nintendo eShop on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS Family systems on Dec 31st, 2020. They are no longer available for new users to download. It is possible for existing users to re-download these applications at this time. Service for both applications will be discontinued on June 30th, 2021. Thank you for your support of these applications over the years," Nintendo said in a support document.
The discontinuation affects the following devices: New Nintendo 3DS, New Nintendo 3DS XL, New Nintendo 2DS XL, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, Nintendo 2DS, Wii U Deluxe, and Wii U Basic.

After June 30, 2021, Netflix will not be available on any Nintendo console. The app is not supported on Nintendo Switch, despite the console offering a few other streaming services such as Hulu.
