Disney's next three major film releases, Black Widow (Marvel), Cruella (Disney) and Luca (Pixar), will all be available to watch on Disney+ on premiere day.
Premier Access or exclusively
Cruella and Black Widow will premiere simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+ through the company's 'Premier Access', which usually amounts to $30. On May 28 and July 9, respectively.
Pixar's next animated feature film, Luca, will debut exclusively on Disney+ on June 18, meaning that it will only be available in theaters in markets where Disney+ is not yet available. Similar to the Pixar's previous release Soul, Disney+ will not charge extra for Luca.
- "Following the successful release of Raya and the Last Dragon, the highly anticipated live-action film Cruella and Marvel Studios’ long-awaited Black Widow will launch simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access in most Disney+ markets on Friday, May 28, and on Friday, July 9, respectively," announced the Walt Disney Company. "Disney and Pixar’s Luca will stream directly in homes worldwide exclusively on Disney+ beginning Friday, June 18, as a special offering to kick off the summer season."

What is next?
The three movies are major releases from Disney and it is a testament to the current state of the market. Even before coronavirus, global 'home entreatment' grew rapidly to surpass theatrical box office in 2016.
In October 2020, Disney announced a reorganization to "focus primarily" on streaming and to "further accelerate the company’s direct-to-consumer strategy, in light of the rapid success of Disney+". Disney+ topped 100 million subscribers just 16 months after launch.
