Sony announces pricing for A80J OLED and X90J, X80J LCD TVs

Sony's X90J, the successor to last year's X900H (XH90), will cost $1800 / £1500 / €1600 for a 65-inch screen. The company's A80J OLED will start at €2000 / £2000.

Last month, Sony said that its flagship A90J OLED (with the new OLED panel) will start at $3000 / €2600 / £2700. The step-down A80J OLED model will be more affordable. Which features are missing? You can compare A90J and A80J in the TV Database. X90J is the successor to last year's X900H (XH90). In addition to the 4K LCD panel with local dimming (FALD) and HDMI 2.1, X90J features the company's new 'Cognitive Processor XR' and the refreshed Google TV user interface. It will also be known as X91J, X92J, X93J and X94J. Sony will launch a 100-inch X90J in the US later this year but it has not said how much it will cost.

Sony also announced pricing details for X80J, which is the company's most affordable 2021 model with Google TV. It has a standard 4K LCD panel and will also be known as X81J and X82J.
