Tidal app for LG TVs

The Tidal app for LG TVs supports MQA audio (Master Quality Authenticated) and Dolby Atmos as part of the company's HiFi subscription tier, which also covers Sony 360 Reality Audio. Tidal first launched Dolby Atmos support for music in May 2020 on Apple TV 4K, Android TV, and Fire TV. Examples of Dolby Atmos tracks are Ariana Grande’s 7 rings, The Weeknd’s After Hours, and Kanye West's Heartless. LG has been using webOS in its Smart TVs since 2014 but the company is not providing webOS updates to its previous TVs. As a result, an LG TV is stuck on the version of webOS that it launched with. The Tidal app is available now from LG's content store.
