Philips finally has an OLED TV larger than 65 inches in its line-up. First announced in January, the 77-inch OLED806 is now available in parts of Europe.
Next step, 83 inches
The 77-inch TV is part of the Philips OLED806 range which comes with features like 4K resolution, multi-HDR support, anti burn-in technology, Android 10, and 4-sided Ambilight.
For the first time, Philips has also equipped its OLED TVs with HDMI 2.1 ports for 4K120 input. In addition, support optional HDMI 2.1 features like VRR (and AMD FreeSync), eARC, and ALLM.

In most European countries, only B&O, LG and Sony offer OLED TVs larger than 65 inches so the launch of Philips' first 77-inch OLED should help bring more competition to the segment for large-sized OLED TVs. The next step for Philips will be to launch a 83-inch 4K OLED, which is already available from LG and Sony. Panasonic has yet to announce plans for large-sized OLED TVs.
