You can now play PS5 games with a DualSense on Android 12 devices

If you own a PlayStation 5 console, you can now stream PS5 games to an Android 12 device with the PS Remote Play app and control the action with the DualSense controller.

Sony has updated the PS Remote Play app on Android to support the PS5's DualSense game controller as well as new DualShock 4 features. - "New PS Remote Play update for Android 12 users enables pairing with a DualSense wireless controller, and new DualShock 4 features including touchpad, motion sensor, rumble and battery indicator," announced Sony. "The update is live now globally." By installing the PS Remote Play app on an Android mobile device you can play PS4 and PS5 games on your phone or tablet, streamed over the home network from a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 console.

DualShock 4 support requires Android 10 or later whereas DualSense and enhanced DualShock 4 support requires Android 12 or later. PS Remote Play supports up to 1080p without HDR. In April 2021, Apple and Sony likewise brought DualSense support to iOS and tvOS with the release of iOS/tvOS 14.5. The new controller is also supported on Windows 10 PCs and Mac devices running macOS Catalina or later. At this time, the PS Remote Play app is available only for Android (Google Play) and iOS mobile devices (App Store). Sony has not announced plans to bring it to Android TV and Apple TV.

Android smartphones and tablets Android devices running Android 7 or later can play PS Remote Play games using on-screen controls. Devices running Android 10 or higher can connect to a DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller via Bluetooth4. The DualSense wireless controller is supported on Android devices running Android 12 or later5.  To check what Android devices support DualSense and DUALSHOCK 4 controller drivers, please consult your device's manufacturer. 4. DUALSHOCK4 features as Touch Pad, Motion Sensor, Light Bar and Vibration might not be available. 5. Availability of DualSense features such as audio output and haptic effects vary when using remote play on Android, PC, Mac, iPhone or iPad; some features may not be available.
