Ahead of CES 2022, Samsung has unveiled three new monitors designed for gaming, smart connectivity and professional performance for creators, respectively.

Samsung's new gaming monitor for 2022 is the 32-inch Odyssey Neo G8 (G85NB), which is the world's first monitor to combine 4K resolution with 240 Hz refresh rate. The LCD monitor features 3840x2160 pixels and a 1 ms response time as measured in GtG (grey to grey), although it will still be slower overall than an OLED display rated at 1 ms response time. With its miniLED backlight it can reach up to 2000 nits peak brightness, according to Samsung. The number of dimming zones was not disclosed.

Samsung also unveiled the 32-inch Smart Monitor M8 (M80B), which replaces the previous Smart Monitor. The LCD monitor has 4K resolution. TV apps are built directly into the monitor and it can also serve as a SmartThings control hub, said Samsung. It has a built-in camera and USB Type-C enabling 65W charging of external devices.
