Sony will this year expand its line-up of OLED TVs to include a total of four model ranges. The new flagship A95K is based on Samsung Display's QD-OLED technology, a new OLED panel type that utilizes quantum dots.
A95K will be available in Europe in May. In Germany, the suggested retail prices are 3050 and 4050 in 55 and 65 inches, respectively. FlatpanelsHD has been informed that Sony will also announce pricing for the UK and other European countries this week, possibly even later today. We will update the article accordingly.
Samsung has confirmed that its first QD-OLED TVs will cost 2200 and 3000 USD in the US but has not yet announced exact prices for Europe.
In addition, Sony has revealed suggested retail prices for its A80K series of OLED TVs that will replace last year's A80J. Later this year, the company will also launch its first 42-inch OLED TV in the A90K range (an extension of last year's A90J range) as well as a new and more affordable A70K range of OLED TVs.
