A little later than usual, Sony has launched its 2022 line-up of LCD TVs including X90K that replaces X90J. X95K is Sony's first miniLED LCD TV.

Sony is diversifying its TV line-up this year. Besides QD-OLED, the Japanese company is launching its first LCD TVs with miniLED backlight to compete with Samsung and TCL in this segment.

X95K features 4K resolution and while Z9K features 8K resolution, both with miniLED LCD. FlatpanelsHD will soon post our in-depth review of Sony X95K.

Stepping down to the 90 series, X90K replaces last year's X90J as Sony's value-for-money premium model. It does not feature a miniLED backlight but still features a less advanced form of local dimming zones. It comes with VRR baked in this year. In the mid-range segment you will find X85K and X80K which will be available in sizes up to 85 inches.
