Samsung's Gaming Hub with Xbox, Stadia & GeForce Now apps rolling out

Starting today, you can stream games over the internet from Xbox, Google Stadia, GeForce Now and Utomik to a 2022 Samsung Smart TV – no console required.

The four game streaming services are rolling out as part of Samsung's Gaming Hub, which a new hub in addition to Media and Ambient on 2022 Samsung Smart TVs.

To get the Gaming Hub you must update your 2022 Samsung Smart TV to firmware version 1302.5. If you are still not seeing the Gaming Hub after the update, try to power cycle your TV. Note that the Gaming Hub is not available in all regions (Nordics and possibly other countries exempted).

- "The Gaming Hub is available on 2022 Samsung Smart TVs and 2022 Smart Monitors and requires your TV software to be updated to version 1302.5 or later," Samsung said in a support document.



Coming to 2021 models too?

To stream games from the Xbox, you must have an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription (go here). More details regarding the Xbox app can be found here. The same goes for the other three game streaming services. In addition, a Samsung account is required. You must also pair a compatible USB or Bluetooth game controller, listed below. At launch, the Gaming Hub is available only on 2022 Samsung models but the company has teased that it will share more details on a possible roll-out to earlier models later.
