Samsung has a refreshed line-up of 'lifestyle TVs' for 2022 with matte displays. The Frame 2022 and The Serif 2022 are now in the US, the UK, Germany and elsewhere.
The Serif, which looks like the Serif font, was Samsung's first so-called lifestyle TV, designed for modern living. The Korean company later added The Frame (digital picture frame), The Sero (can rotate 90 degrees) and The Terrace (outdoor TV) to the line-up.
In 2022, The Frame and The Serif will switch from a glossy to a matte LCD display, as seen in the video below from the unveiling at CES earlier this year. This will make the more than 2000 works of art, available for purchase or with a subscription plan, appear more real. Movies on the other hand will look less punchy and contrast-rich.
Auto-rotating wall bracket
Samsung is also launching a new motorized wall bracket that will automatically rotate The Frame between horizontal and vertical orientation, depending on the orientation of the artwork shown.
The Frame 2022 is available in 32 to 85 inches whereas The Serif is available in 43 to 65 inches.

The new LCD TVs also feature 4K resolution (except 32"), built-in speakers, HDMI 2.1, and the latest version of Samsung's Tizen operating system with popular streaming apps such as Amazon, Apple TV+, Disney+ and Netflix. The Frame comes with the external One Connect box.
