Today at IFA, Philips unveiled its new flagship 9-series OLED TVs for 2022. OLED937 and OLED907 come in sizes ranging from 48 to 77 inches.
In addition to OLED807 which was launched earlier this month, Philips is bringing the more efficient and brighter OLED EX (except 48") to its high-end 9-series OLED TVs that combine the latest in display and video technologies with powerful speakers from B&W and the latest evolution of Ambilight.

OLED907 is fitted with an integrated 3.1-channel B&W speaker system while OLED937 has a semi-detached 5.1.2-channel speaker with up-firing and for the first time side-firing units for more immersive Dolby Atmos audio.
Philips said that peak brightness in its new 9 series OLED TVs with OLED EX and a heatsink should reach up to 1300 nits (color temperature not specified) – even higher than on the OLED807 model which also features OLED EX. The company referred to the panel in OLED903 and OLED937 as "Royal" OLED EX.
- "The OLED EX panel also features a special heatsink to allow the peak output to be safely increased to 1300 Nits on a 3% window. The panel also features a smaller screen bezel, reduced from 6mm to 4mm," the company said.
The TVs are powered by a 6th generation P5 video processor which has learned new tricks including improved tone-mapping for HDR and improved black levels for VRR gaming. We will cover this in more detail in our hands-on article.

Improved Ambilight system
The Ambilight system now uses an array of tiny light emitting diodes that can be controlled individually for more details in the Ambilight – more on that in our hands-on article. OLED907 has 3-sided Ambilight while OLED937 has 4-sided Ambilight.
The TVs are powered by Android TV which provides access to local and international streaming apps such as Amazon, Apple TV app, Disney+, HBO Max, and Netflix. Android TVs come with Chromecast and Google Assistant built-in.
