Apple Music is now available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One

12 Oct 2022 | Rasmus Larsen |

The Apple Music app on Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles lets you listen to music while playing games. It also supports music videos in up to 4K resolution.

You shouldn't use a game console for video streaming and not as your primary music streaming device either but some gamers like to listen to music while playing certain types of games. Like some other music streaming apps on consoles, the newly launched Apple Music app supports this feature on Xbox.

The app can be downloaded now on all Xbox One consoles as well as Xbox Series S and Series X consoles. It features the same user interface as on other TV platforms and also offers acces to purchased songs from iTunes.

The app for Xbox supports music videos in up to 4K resolution but does not support Dolby Atmos music and lossless quality, both of which are supported for Apple Music on the Apple TV 4K box.

New Apple Music subscribers can get a free 1-month trial here.
