LG's first OLED gaming monitors with 240Hz refresh rate are now also available in the UK, Germany, and other European countries after the US launch in late 2022.

The monitors are groundbreaking in the sense that they are the first OLED monitors with 240Hz refresh rate. OLED at 240Hz offers a significantly improved gaming experience as compared to 240Hz LED LCD – even outperforming 360Hz LCDs – due to OLED's faster response times, pixel-level luminance and color control, deep blacks, and HDR capabilities. They also support VRR.

LG started taking pre-orders for the 45-inch ultra-wide 1440p 45GR95QE and 27-inch 16:9 1440p 27GR95QE, both with 240Hz OLED panels, in the US in December 2022. The 27-inch is available in the US here and the 45-inch here.

European launch
After a few months of waiting time, the monitors are now also rolling out in Europe, albeit slowly. The 45-inch 45GR95QE is in stock in the UK, Germany and elsewhere for £1700 / €1800. The 27-inch 27GR95QE is harder to find, with elevated delivery times in Europe. 

The delivery situation is expected to improve later this year.

240Hz OLED monitors from brands such as Acer, Asus, Dough, and Corsair have also been announced. They are all based on the same OLED panels as LG's monitors, made by LG Display with MLA (Micro Lens Array) technology.

Samsung Display's QD-OLED panels currently max out at 175Hz but the first 240Hz QD-OLED monitors will arrive later this year.
