Disney+ has partnered with Sony Pictures to make its Marvel collection more complete. Four Spider-Man movies are available today and an additional two will arrive on May 12. While Disney owns Marvel and controls most Marvel rights, Sony Pictures still holds the rights to Spider-Man and related characters while Universal holds some rights to Hulk. Some of Sony Pictures' Spider-Man movies are now coming to Disney+. - "The first Spider-Man films starring Tobey Maguire, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3, and Andrew Garfield's turn as the web-slinger in The Amazing Spider-Man will be made available to subscribers on April 21, 2023. Spider-Man: Homecoming starring Tom Holland and Venom will join the service on May 12, 2023," announced Disney's Marvel. Disney+ did not comment on 4K, HDR or IMAX aspect ratio. - "Additional titles from Sony Pictures’ film and television library are expected to premiere on Disney+ in the U.S. later this year." said Marvel without specifying which ones. In some regions outside the US, Disney+ already offered Spider-Man movies.
