Apple TV+ has already given us Foundation, Severance, For All Mankind and Invasion. The company's next sci-fi series is Silo and it is available today in 4K Dolby Vision and Atmos.
Here at FlatpanelsHD, we love science fiction and it is encouraging to see the resurgence of great sci-fi movies such as Blade Runner 2049 and Dune as well as the many new series – at least the good ones.
Netflix had a few good ones and now Apple has also started to invest in sci-fi.
Apple's latest project is Silo, based on the post-apocalyptic science fiction books by Hugh Howey. The book series is also known as Wool which was actually Apple's working title for the series – it was even announced as Wool before it was renamed as Silo.

Silo premieres today to rave reviews from major publications. The first two episodes are available for streaming now on Apple TV+ that offers a free 7-day trial. The streaming service costs $7 per month after the trial.
The series is available to stream in 4K Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It is worth noting that to get Apple's highest 4K bitrate (40+ Mbps peaks) you must use the Apple TV 4K box. The Apple TV app on Smart TVs delivers a significantly lower 4K bitrate.
