Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One, which will be released in theaters on July 12, marks the 500th theatrical film in both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It is noteworthy milestone for Dolby, a company known primarily for its audio technology. The Dolby Vision video format builds on top of the base HDR10 format by adding dynamic metadata to better adapt the HDR picture to various display/projection technologies and products. - "We’re proud to empower the theatrical community with Dolby’s pioneering audio and video technologies as we celebrate our 500th feature film in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos with the upcoming film Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One," said Jed Harmsen, Head of Cinema & Group Entertainment, Dolby Laboratories.Dolby Cinema is EDR

The first Dolby Cinema opened in 2014 and there are now over 290 locations spanning 14 countries, said Dolby. - "I'm devoted to a fully immersive big screen experience and no big screen experience is complete without the extraordinary detail, depth, power and presence of Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos," said 'Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning' producer, director and writer Christopher McQuarrie.A Dolby Cinema with Dolby Vision EDR projection and Dolby Atmos audio.
