At CES 2024, Hisense showcased new, larger, and brighter "ULED" LCD TVs, including a 110-inch flagship that it claims can reach peak brightness of 10000 nits for the first time.
The two major Chinese TV makers, TCL and Hisense, are in competition to launch the biggest and brightest miniLED LCD TVs, reaching sizes where OLED is no longer an option.
After popularizing the 98-inch format in the last couple of years, TCL brought the 115-inch QM891G with 20000 dimming zones and 5000 nits peak brightness to CES 2024.
While TCL's 115-inch was the largest LCD TV on the floor, Hisense claims that its 110-inch LCD TV reaches double the brightness at 10000 nits – the maximum luminance supported by current HDR standards. The 110-inch "ULED X" LCD TV features 8K resolution, a miniLED backlight with over 40000 backlight zones, and 95% of the BT.2020 color gamut.
FlatpanelsHD saw it in action at CES 2024 and although it looks promising in terms of picture quality, we have concerns about the price point (which was not indicated) considering it is an 8K LCD panel.

New 98" and 75" sizes
Hisense told us to also expect a 98-inch 4K LCD model in the UX range, likely arriving in the second half of 2024. Although this TV was not showcased at CES show floor, the company claims it will boast 10000 dimming zones and 5000 nits peak brightness.
Furthermore, a new 75-inch screen option will be introduced in the UX range, touted as the "thinnest miniLED TV" by the company. Despite its 13mm design, it will still incorporate 5000 dimming zones and is designed for wall mounting.
The new size additions make Hisense's UX range a blend of the company's latest LCD innovations, with features varying depending on the screen size.
The additional sizes are set to arrive later this year. Pricing details will be announced later.
