At CES 2025, Dell has unveiled its first non-Alienware QD-OLED monitor, a 32-inch with built-in speakers for 3D audio, alongside the first laptop featuring an optional tandem OLED display.
Referred to as the 'Dell Plus' monitor (S3225QC), the 32-inch QD-OLED offers 4K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and built-in USB-C with up to 90W power delivery. The stand supports tilt, swivel, slant, and height adjustments.
While it is Dell's first non-Alienware, i.e. non-gaming, QD-OLED monitor, the company did not position it as a traditional office monitor but rather a mixed-use monitor for media, gaming and more. It features HDR, including Dolby Vision, and HDMI.

Built-in 3D spatial audio
Promoted as the world's first QD-OLED monitor with 3D spatial audio, Dell explained that the built-in 5x5W speakers work in combination with sensors that track the user's head movements to direct beamforming audio towards each ear while canceling sound to the opposite ear, creating a 3D audio effect.
We have not yet had the chance to test it, but we will try to get a demo at CES 2025. Dell's S3225QC monitor will be available worldwide starting May 22, 2025, for $800.
World's first tandem OLED laptop
Additionally, Dell announced its Pro 14 Premium (PA13250), which is the first consumer laptop to feature a tandem OLED panel, a technology recently brought to prominence by Apple's M4 iPad Pro.
The tandem OLED will be optional and available only on the 14-inch model. It features a 2880x1800 resolution and is claimed to be 24% more power efficient and 49% lighter than traditional rigid OLED displays. Dell refers to it as the "world's most advanced display in a commercial laptop."

Although optional, this marks the beginning of tandem OLED technology in laptops. Tandem OLED is significantly more power-efficient, with improved burn-in resistance and longer lifespan – two key attributes for laptop displays often used for long hours with static screen elements.
Dell added that the display supports HDR but is limited to sRGB color and 400 nits brightness. It also features an anti-glare coating.
The Pro 13 and Pro 14 Premium laptops with Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors will launch this month, but Dell did not specify whether this includes the tandem OLED option.
New Dell UltraSharp LCD monitors
Dell also announced two new 4K LCD monitors, the 27-inch U2725QE and 32-inch U3225QE, both of which will have a built-in Thunderbolt hub.
They will be available in late February for $700 and $950, respectively.
