More than five years after the the launch of Apple's streaming service Apple TV+, the Apple TV app is now finally available for Android phones, tablets and foldables.
Apple TV+ has for years been available on a range of devices, including Smart TVs, Google TVs and consoles from other brands, but has strangely been withheld from the Android mobile OS.
This week, Apple announced that the app is now officially available worldwide "built from the ground up to deliver Android users a familiar and intuitive interface".
Apple TV+ and MLS
The Apple TV app on Android provides access to the Apple TV+ subscription service, including some MLB matches in the US, and the Major League Soccer (MLS) Season Pass. There is currently no access to movies bought or rented via iTunes.
Apple TV+ provides access to hit series such as Severance, Slow Horses, Ted Lasso, Shinking and Silo.

The Apple TV app for Android supports offline watching too
No support for Google Cast
The company said that app supports features like Continue Watching, Watchlist and offline watching. Streaming works over WiFi and cellular. It also support picture-in-picture.
The app works across Android mobile brands including Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Google, and more running Android 10 or later. However, there is no support for Google Cast.
The app can be downloaded now from the Google Play store here. There is a free 7-day trial.
